FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, DALLAS, TX – Two and a half decades of presenting exhibitions in our Dallas Gallery has brought us to this unimaginable time! The world is isolated at home, businesses are closed, the Coronavirus remains prevalent, and our future is unknown.

But creativity always prevails. And anniversaries are still worth celebrating!

PDNB Gallery’s first step in celebrating is an online exhibition. It was a difficult show to put together, since there are so many favorites. And, because this show is online, we felt the breadth had to be limited. Thus, 25 photographs for 25 Years.

In April, 1995, our first exhibition in our tiny gallery on Routh Street, was a Joel-Peter Witkin show, along with a group exhibition of Latin American photographers. Since that debut, we have explored many genres, including documentary, portraiture, abstraction, landscape and conceptual works. We have also exhibited sculpture and works on paper, and this fall, we will feature a ceramic show. One of the magical highlights was SHINE!, which included shoeshine boxes from Burt Finger’s personal collection, and photographs of shoe shine boys.

This all started in a small frame building on Routh Street in the Dallas Uptown neighborhood, then the gallery moved to the Dallas Design District in a beautifully designed space on Dragon Street. Our current location on Glass Street has been a great address, located across from The Dallas Contemporary, and near other notable art galleries.

As we all have hopes for the future, we are reflective of the past. PDNB Gallery thanks all the artists and patrons that have touched our lives. Some day soon, the gallery will celebrate this special anniversary with the artists and friends that have shared in our passion of art.
