DAVID GRAHAM
b. 1952, Abington Township, Pennsylvania
David Graham is an American photographer whose work explores the suburban landscapes of America. The landscapes Graham captures are vividly colored and surreal windows of the odd landmarks and attractions that are beacons of middle class America. These snapshot-esque images celebrate the layman’s dreams and desires.
Graham received a BFA at the Philadelphia College of Art in 1976 and went on to earn a MFA from the Tyler School of Art in 1981. After completing his academics, Graham began teaching at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia while receiving grants to continue his art photography. He has been active in both solo and group exhibitions internationally for the past four decades. Grahams work has been sought after from museums and private collectors worldwide. His work can be found in permanent collections as the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, Art Institute of Chicago in Illinois, Biblioteque Nationale in Paris, and the Fotografie Forum in Germany.
