We sadly received news this week of the passing of our great friend, Paul Greenberg. He was a family physician and passionate artist. Paul would come by with new work every so often, and sit down with Burt to discuss, criticize, and brain-storm together. His photographs were included in solo and group shows at PDNB as well as multiple galleries and museums. He enjoyed entering his work in juried shows, and attended many Houston FotoFest Biennials where his work was reviewed by galleries and museum curators, sometimes leading to exhibitions within the United States and around the world.
Paul loved his darkroom, his medical practice, tennis, dining, cooking, symphony, art, and above all, his family.
He and his wife, Claire, traveled the world. On these adventures, Paul stayed busy making images that became part of his portfolio. His favorite city to photograph was New York City, where his street photography ranks high among the best of the genre.
All who met Paul loved him dearly. We will miss his positive, creative spirit.
Paul’s Beautiful wife, Claire, died within the past year. It is sad to know we will not see them in the gallery or share fun dinners at our favorite Chinese restaurant. But we hold their spirit in our memory and hearts, and we can always enjoy the images Paul created.
